"When I painted this piece, I wanted to use brighter tones to reflect the brightness of the mind, hope and joy. The cycle of the year is like a human life; spring is youth, summer is adulthood, autumn reflects middle age and winter is old age.
As a metaphor for human life, a tree is also very symbolic; how it draws its strength from the earth through its roots, grows to its full size and in time gives up its place to other life in the cycle of nature, still offering safety to the smallest and turning the earth into soil, creating new life. When the mind and soul are peacefully present in this moment, you have found happiness and the rush disappears. This work is about all this." 🎀❤️Hanna
